Studio profile

Axte (aksˈteɪ) is an architectural design studio based in Cambodia. We are a small team of Architects, Interior designers, creators, thinkers, and makers. We do not subscribe to a particular style or any fixed design principles. We Believe each project is different and requires a tailored approach.

We design rich, exciting spaces across scales, from a table to a tower. We listen to our clients and create unexpected value through our designs. Our motivation is to improve the quality of the built environment by creating beautiful spaces where performance and function is a priority.

Axte was established by Tobias Alexander Griffiths and Vong Chhay Te, who crossed paths during their university years.

Tobias is a Registered Architect in the United Kingdom and graduate of the Royal College of Art. Tobias gained invaluable experience working at well-known British architectural firm Grimshaw and later Hawkins Brown where he worked on a number of prominent projects across multiple sectors.

Vong Chhay studied at the University of Liverpool and became a certified architect upon returning to Cambodia. He also serves as Parbury's CEO in the real estate realm. Vong Chhay brings a grounded blend of architectural insight and pragmatic thinking to our team.
